Help for LISTSERV Archives

The archive browsing page contains the message viewer, allowing you to view all of the messages in the archives.

The following options are available:

  • Use Proportional/Monospaced Font: Click to use a proportional or a monospaced font when viewing plain text messages.
  • Show All/Condense Mail Headers: Click to show all of the mail headers or just the most important ones.
  • Show HTML/Text Part by Default: Click to show the HTML or the plain text part by default when viewing multipart messages.

You can view your messages using several methods:

  • Message: Click to view the First/Previous/Next/Last message for the selected month or week.
  • By Topic: Click to view the First/Previous/Next/Last message in the same topic for the selected month or week.
  • By Author: Click to view the First/Previous/Next/Last message by the same author for the selected month or week.

This page also offers you several other options:

  • Reply: Click to post a reply to the current message.
  • Log In/Log Out: Click to log in or log out of LISTSERV.
  • Register/Change Password: Click to get a LISTSERV password or to change an existing password.
  • Subscribe or Unsubscribe: Click to subscribe, unsubscribe or to change your subscription settings.
  • Post Message: Click to create and post a message to the list.
  • Search Archives: Click to search the archives of the list.

If the message you are viewing contains additional parts or attachments, then the Parts/Attachments row will be displayed after the mail header. To view the part or attachment, simply click on it. For multi-part messages, the default view (HTML or Text) is set using the Default View option under Preferences.
